The inspiration for the jacket is an antique kersette.
*A kersetka is a traditional Ukrainian women’s outerwear, typical for the central and eastern regions of Ukraine. The front of this jacket has a loose cut, and the back is fitted, decorated with pleats that add a special charm. Kersets could be either everyday or festive, depending on the material chosen. Regardless of their purpose, they all had the same cut, but were made of different fabrics, such as wool, brocade, silk, cotton or velvet.
